This sea salt is harvested by hand in the Guérande salt marshes following the ancestral method of the "paludiers" (traditional celtic salt-harvesters). It is then dried in the sun and ground. The Guérande peninsula, in Brittany, produces the best salt in France, some say worldwide. Guérande fine salt is an unrefined product, simply dried and milled. Naturally rich in magnesium, calcium and iron, it is perfectly suited to all uses.
Le Guérandais salt and fleur de sel are produced by salt harvesters of the Guérande peninsula associated in an agricultural cooperative.
