Broyé du Poitou is a pure butter shortbread biscuit from the Poitou-Charentes region. Originally made to feed farm workers it is traditionally shared by breaking it into pieces with a sharp tap in the center of the biscuit. This large galette serves 8-10.
Brigitte Arnaud-Boué, the founder of Goulibeur, inherited her broyé de Poitou recipe from her grandmother Paulette. The rest is history!
